SANTA CLAUS IS COMING...

Yesterday was so much fun, wasn't it peanut? We got our tree and wreaths and then the three of us made hot cocoa and listened to music while we decorated the tree.

Mommy's been so busy with you...

Let's see... Oh, We made history by electing this country's first black president! You went to see and hear him speak when you were in mommy's belly almost a year ago!
What else... You had your first thanksgiving with all of your family. Grandpa is coming to visit you in a few weeks for Christmas and Santa will be here soon to give you a special present.

Boy are we tired...

You seem to have the days and nights reversed my love. You sleep all day without so much as a peep! Once midnight rolls around, you stretch out, yawn and are up until 5 a.m. I have never been so tired in my life... You are so worth it- my sweet pea...

Daddy's little girl...

Your daddy is just so in love with you. Do you know that he bought you 20 preemie outfits yesterday??? All by himself. He surprised mommy with them. He can't take enough photos of you either. Here is one just after your first bath-which you hated by the way...

Welcome to the world Phoebe!!

Phoebe made her grand debut on 8/7/08 at 5:44 pm.  She weighed 5 lbs 5 oz. 

Phoebe gave us a scare and had to arrive via emergency c-section but she is here-healthy and beautiful.

We will be bringing you home tomorrow Phoebe, to meet your fur brother and sister!

Well little one- it seems we may get to meet you within the next 24 hours!
Mommy and Daddy are going to the hospital tonight and they are going to try and see if we can't get you to come out!

Hi baby girl. Ok, you have to come out now. Mommy is getting really tired and fat! Daddy has started vacation so we are just waiting. Can't you just give a little push??? We have just been waiting so long for you, years and years. I want to be holding you in my arms right now.
Your fur brother and sister are waiting for you too. Here is a picture of mommy's huge belly.

We thought you were coming yesterday or today. Mommy got sent to the hospital for high blood pressure and we were told that the best way to get it to go down was to get you here!
Turns out they may be sending us both home to let you cook a while longer.
Maybe you will come in a few more days on your own? Please don't wait much longer, we want daddy to be there and to be able to stay at home with us for a little while!

It's almost time...

I think you might be attempting to make an appearance soon. I feel very different and you have moved around and changed positions quite a bit.
I am nervous b/c your daddy is working a lot this week and I am afraid that I will be alone in the hospital waiting to have you. I know you will keep me company the whole time, I just don't want your dad to miss your debut! I hope he can do what he needs to to be there for us.

Maybe you are getting ready to come tonight. I need to sleep now if that's the case.

Ok, so I had to let it out of the bag. I could not wait any longer to share with Daddy that he had a precious baby girl coming his way. You should be here any day now. Mommy is getting so much bigger and you are growing and growing in there. You are making my feet swollen but I don't care as long as you are happy in there!

I hope you are getting cozy in there little one. I know I am starting to feel much more energetic these days. This must mean that you are sleeping more and not eating as much of my food!
